ain't we got fun extras | inspired by

First of all, today's letter is featured over at Emily's blog. Not mine. Secondly, I know this is the second post in one day, but I forgot that I overbooked myself. (Doesn't that sound very professional?) So this morning, you got a sneak peek at Carmel's new blog. This afternoon, you get a pretty little song with a collection of pictures to give you a more visual and in-depth look at Ain't We Got Fun. Em made the video; I knew of the song, which inspired of the story's title in the first place. :)

  1. I first heard this song in the Kit Kittredge movie. Me and my sisters have been singing it ever since : ) I loved the video, really felt immersed in the 30s, and it made me even more excited to read the next installment in your letter series!

    1. That's precisely where I first heard it, too. ^.^ And I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Em made it and sent it to me a couple days ago, and I pretty much fell in love with the story all over again!

  2. This song reminds me of The Great Gatsby, but I like it much better in relation to your story. ^.^ (Sorry, Fitzgerald: one can only harp on the disillusionment of the Jazz Age before it gets downright bleak.) I need to catch up your various parts while the fragments of holiday free time are still in my grasp. ;)

    1. Unfortunately, I haven't read nor seen the Great Gatsby, so here's me smiling and nodding like I usually do when I'm in the midst of a conversation revolving around something of which I am ignorant. And, yes, do! I hope it'll make you smile. :)
